Google Business Profile Optimization

Most people decide before they ever reach your website.

They search, they look at the map results, they read a few reviews, and they call somebody. Your Google Business Profile is that first impression, and it is the one part of your online presence most contractors never touch after setting it up.

What it is

A managed profile, not a one-time cleanup

Iron Cedar works on the profile every month: the information Google shows, the services you list, the posts and photos that keep it active, and the reviews customers read first. You approve what goes out. I do the work.

  • Business information, categories and service list kept accurate
  • Service descriptions written and updated
  • Recurring posts, offers, photos and video
  • Google review requests after every finished job — the whole review plan, included
  • Your reviews watched, and help replying to them
  • Rank tracking and a monthly report you can actually read
  • Alerts when Google changes something on your profile
How Google picks

Google ranks you on three things. We can influence all three.

That is the whole game for a business that lives on the phone ringing — and the three below are where it is won or lost.

  • Relevance. Somebody types “emergency plumber near me”. If your listing never says you do emergency work, you were never in that search. Most listings are losing here and the owner has no idea.
  • Distance. How close you are to whoever is searching. You cannot move your shop — but you can make sure Google and your customers have accurate information about where you actually work, and most listings have it set wrong or left half blank. Google decides the ranking; accurate information is what we control.
  • Prominence. How established you look. Your review count and score, a listing that is obviously active, and what the rest of the web says about you. This one builds every month you keep at it — and the review requests are included here, so it is being built rather than waited for.

All three get worked every month, and you see exactly what moved. The one thing nobody can do is put your shop closer to somebody’s phone.

What actually happens

Month one is the catch-up. After that it is upkeep.

Profiles are usually years out of date. The first month fixes what is wrong; every month after keeps it from drifting back.

  1. You add us as a manager

Nothing can be changed on a Google profile without access. You stay the owner throughout, and you can remove us whenever you want.

  2. The catch-up pass

Categories, services, service descriptions, hours, attributes, photos and business information all get corrected against what you actually do and where you actually work.

  3. Monthly activity

Posts, offers and photos go out on a schedule. Review requests go to customers after completed work, and replies get drafted for your approval.

  4. A report you can read

What changed, what was posted, how the reviews moved, and where you sit for the searches that matter. One page, in plain English, every month.

How it is priced

One price per Google profile.

No setup fee. Three-month minimum, then month to month with 30 days' notice. A second location is another profile, at the same rate. Citation and directory building is a separate piece of work and is quoted on its own.

What you are buying is the work on all three ranking factors, every month, and a report showing what moved. What nobody can sell you is a guaranteed position or a number of calls — Google decides that, and your competitors are working on it too.

Missing calls and reviews as well?

Add Website & Automation — missed-call text-back, enquiry alerts, review requests and a site if you need one — as the Complete Local Presence bundle, which costs less than the two apart. One invoice, one person to call.

Only after the reviews? That part is also sold on its own as Google Review Requests, free for the first 14 days.

Not sure your profile is the problem? The free audit reads your public Google presence and your website, then tells you which one is holding you back. Run the free Google listing audit — it takes a minute and costs nothing.
